What's the weirdest kick-off time you remember?
In professional English football?

Liverpool/Leeds at 8pm tonight seems strange, but remember a while ago there was talk of 11am-ish kick-offs coming in.

According to google, Man City v Everton in 2005 kicked off at 11:15am on a Sunday, apparently for Chinese audiences.

Anyone remember any more? Any really late KOs? Any at like midday on a Tuesday etc.?

The one that felt early for me was West Ham United v Millwall, 16 April 2005 KICK-OFF: 12.00pm

At the ground for around 11am and out before 2pm

11am kick offs on Boxing Day was a regular occurrence during the 1970’s.

However, a 1.30pm kick off on a Wednesday away match at Cremonese was a weird one. No wonder our supporters had greatly outnumbered their fans.

“Can't ever recall there being a Boxing Day night game before?”

Yeah because you’re usually balls deep in a ladyboy by that time.

There's been 7:30 or 8pm kick offs on Boxing Day for the last four or five years now other than probably 2020.

8pm Boxing Day is a great kick-off time for a London derby under the lights at the Emirates.

Plenty of time to get over any overindulgence from the day before, and another bank holiday the day after.

London based fans should have no issues getting to the game. Those who live out in the sticks, stay at home. Simples.

Re: What's the weirdest kick-off time you remember?
Wasn’t a lot of the early kick offs done to stop a boozing shesh before games as it was different opening times etc? Hence it was mainly London derbies on national holiday games?

Sunderland away 12pm FA Cup. We won 1-0 Kanoure scored but had to leave at 4.30am to get up there.

Astra Giurgu away. I don't think it kicked off until 10pm. It was a very heavy couple of days drinking. And we got knocked out the cup

I remember a Good Friday match against Spuds down the lane that kicked off at 11.00 am. We won 4-1 and I think it was April 1967.
